EYFS Network Meeting: Bringing Early Years Practitioners Together in the Forest of Dean

Join Early Years practitioners from across the Forest of Dean on 9 November for an EYFS Network Meeting at Drybrook Primary School. Share ideas and explore SEND, emotional development, parent engagement and practical classroom approaches.

Early Years practitioners across the Forest of Dean are invited to attend the Forest of Dean Trust's upcoming EYFS Network Meeting on Monday 9th November 2026, at Drybrook Primary School.

Working in Early Years brings unique opportunities, challenges and rewards. Having the chance to connect with other practitioners, exchange ideas and share experiences can make a real difference, not only to the children and families we support, but to practitioners themselves. By sharing practical approaches, finding solutions to common challenges and learning from one another, we can make everyday practice more manageable, rewarding and effective.

At Forest of Dean Trust, we believe in the power of collaboration. Our EYFS Network Meeting will provide an opportunity for Early Years professionals from across the local education community to come together, share, discuss and learn.

What's on the agenda?

Our November meeting will focus on four key areas of Early Years education and development:

  • SEND, behaviour and emotional development: Sharing approaches to supporting children with additional needs, developing self-regulation and creating inclusive learning environments.

  • Morning routines and fine motor skills: Exploring practical ways to support smooth transitions into the school day and develop essential early skills.

  • Engaging parents and carers: Discussing ways to strengthen relationships with families and encourage meaningful involvement in children's learning.

  • Bucket Time (Attention Autism approach): Exploring strategies for developing attention, engagement and shared learning experiences.

The meeting offers an opportunity to share what's working in your setting, learn from the experiences of others and take away fresh ideas to consider in your own practice.

Connecting Our Early Years Community

Whether you work in a nursery, preschool, Reception class or another Early Years setting, connecting with fellow practitioners is a valuable way to strengthen professional relationships and support continuous improvement.
